Oh my, a month since last posting!
I've had a really good, but very very very (get it?) BUSY days lately. Here is some of the things I've been doing, I'll blog about it in more details very soon. Where shall I begin?
We took a weekend trip to Berlin, Germany in middle of March. I LOVE Berlin. I've been there twice but still I've got so much more to see and do. It's nice to have something to turn back to :)
The weekend after Berlin was the Happy Rags' (my quilt club) yearly quilt weekend at a cabin in south of Iceland. You'll have to visit again later for A LOT of pictures and all the details... we even had a secret guest from abroad!!
When I came back with all my stuff (you know how quilters travel... NOT light, right?!!) from the quilt cabin I just couldn't put it back in my way too MESSY sewing room... I just had it, that was it!! The room had gone from clean, bright and pretty six years ago, to a messy, clutter EVERYWHERE, dirty old sewing room and I hated it! SO, I went crazy and threw everything out to the hall and the living room (LOL, you should have seen the face of my tolerant husband!). Now I wasn't going to rest until I would get my lovely room back!! Well, it didn't take me long to regret my actions LOL!!! -- It's been 10 days now and I'm still working on it. The clutter is all over the house now, you literally have to jump here and there to move around and I'm starting to get a face from my family... hehehehe... BUT!! I'm working on it everyday (the family still has to eat and get their clothes cleaned and get a ride to practice and all that...) and making a slow progress and I can tell you the air in the room is getting lighter every day and the thougt of a "new" clean and bright sewing room and the thougt of making the first stitch on my machine in this clean and pretty room is what gets me going step by step... it's too bad I forgot to take "before" pictures (well, I was crazy at the time remember, not thinking about anything else but throwing the room out of itself!)
Last weekend I took Andrea to Neskaupsstaður (a tiny place in east of Iceland) to compete at the Icelandic championship volleyball tournament (kids). Well well... guess what?! This was so EXCITING and I was shaking after the final match but my girl and her friend WON their league and now we have an Icelandic champion walking around the house... very proud mom over here :) -- And this was such a nice weekend for Andrea and me since she always has to share my attention with her brothers and sister, she even told me how nice it was that everytime she said "mom" this weekend I responded right away and never said "wait a minute" LOL -- and we both took our crochet project with us and sat down at a cafe to crochet together -- and the weather was postcard gorgeous!!!
And finally, this little cutie (who loves to give his mom a big WET kiss on the cheek) went ONE YEAR OLD April 2nd... I just can't believe it, he was born like 15 min. ago!!
More pictures later,
Have a wonderful weekend,
P.s. spring is almost here, we can see it's nose coming around the corner!
